Playing Corona, CA tonight with Kid Armor. Come hang out!
A Dedication
today is just another day
a morning call
“something has gone down”
a life is lost
a boy is robbed of his crown
lives too young
taken
do you even think before you act
no second chance
your life is ruined
no chance to say goodbye
you couldn’t take the time
now we’re all left without a friend
we’re left without you
no chance to say goodbye
no chance to say goodbye
let me think of a way to process
this breaking news is a total devastation
is it worth the loss to your friends and family
we’re too young for drug related tragedies
i can’t believe that you’re gone
i can’t believe that you’re gone
the last time that i saw you
you called me a “wild man”
you told me to take care
i told you the same
i wish i took the time to hang out more
i really do
i can’t believe you’re gone
i can’t believe you’re gone
this is so surreal
my friend has disappeared
why can’t we see the choices that we make affect other lives
open up your eyes this is happening
how many friends must we lose
before we change our ways
before its too late
i’m tired of saying goodbye
(saying goodbye)
i’m tired of these short lived lives
(these short lived lives)
I wrote this song for my friend Berto who had overdosed on Oxycontin. A year earlier I had a friend overdose on heroin. Both friends were once straight edge. It’s crazy how life is sometimes. Why people choose to “live fast and die young”, i will never understand.Righteous tunes listen you won’t regret it!
Photo from our Hemet show last night at Sharkey’s.
We love Hemet. Since we formed, they have always treated us great and it was nice being able to come home from tour and play there.
